Dr. Stephanie Fernandez.
Dr. Stephanie Fernandez is a 2014 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a one-year rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in North Carolina with focus on surgery, internal medicine, and emergency/critical care. Her medical interests include ultrasound, surgery, and general wellness care. "I'm thankful everyday for having the opportunity to practice in a profession that I have been passionate about since I was a young child," says Dr. Fernandez, who has two dogs, Porter and Palmer, as well as a mischievous kitty named Treeky. "I enjoy seeing the special bond between people and their pets. Nothing can replace the satisfaction of witnessing the joy on someone's face when they get to take their special furry family member home, healthy, and active." Her hobbies include traveling, playing golf, and spending time giggling with her wonderful husband, Martin, at their silly Labradors fetching tennis balls from Lake Lanier.
